People queue for their check-ups

On 2 October 2026 — Gandhi Jayanti — Eternal Gift Foundation held its Sabse Pehle Sehat Health Promotion Drive at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar. By the end of the day, 565 people had received free consultations from ten specialist doctors.

The drive is part of Sabse Pehle Sehat, our campaign built on a simple belief: healthcare should begin before illness becomes an emergency. Here is how the day unfolded.

A traditional welcome

The day began with a traditional welcome at the school gate — a moment of faith, positivity and blessings. It set the tone for everything that followed: good health is not only about treatment, but also about care, compassion and collective responsibility.

Young volunteers, big spirit of service

Young Scout & Guide volunteers — schoolgirls and boys — stepped forward to support the event. From welcoming guests to helping participants find their way, they brought energy, discipline and warmth to the day. Their presence carried a message we care about deeply: the spirit of community service can begin at a young age.

The drive was covered by leading newspapers in Odisha. Held on Gandhiji’s birth anniversary, it was our way of remembering that service to humanity is the greatest tribute to him.

Behind the drive

Behind this initiative stand the founders of Eternal Gift Foundation — Dr. Satya Prakash Ray Choudhury (Chairman & Founder), Dr. Shakti Swaroop and Pandit Matru Prasad Mishra — who continue to champion compassionate healthcare and community welfare. Our thanks to every doctor, volunteer and member of the school who made the day possible.
