Financial Assistance
Transplantation should not be decided by what a family can afford.
What assistance covers
Organ failure carries costs long before and long after a transplant — evaluation, tests, travel, the procedure itself, immunosuppressive medication and lifelong follow-up. For many families these costs arrive alongside a loss of income.
The Foundation provides financial assistance to eligible patients, and helps families identify the government schemes, hospital programmes and other sources of support they may be entitled to.

Who can apply
Assistance is directed towards patients with a demonstrated medical need and limited financial means. Each application is reviewed individually, with reference to medical documentation and the applicant’s circumstances.
Supporting the fund
Financial assistance is funded entirely by donations. Every contribution goes towards patient support, awareness programmes and community education.
