A day that put health first
On 2 October 2026, Eternal Gift Foundation’s Sabse Pehle Sehat Health Promotion Drive brought free consultations to Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Gadakana, Bhubaneswar. 565 people were seen by ten specialist doctors from leading hospitals.
A traditional welcome
The drive began with a traditional welcome at the school gate — a moment of faith, positivity and blessings that set the tone for the day. It was a reminder that good health is not only about treatment, but also about care, compassion and collective responsibility.

Families queued from the morning for free check-ups and consultations. Ten specialists — in liver and gastro care, kidney and urology, heart, diabetes, bones and spine, women’s and children’s health, paediatric surgery, and medicine and critical care — saw 565 people over the day, with guidance on what to do next.

Young volunteers, big spirit of service
Scout & Guide volunteers — schoolgirls and boys — welcomed guests, helped participants find their way and brought warmth and discipline to the day. Their presence carried a simple message: the spirit of community service can begin at a young age.
